In kinematics, absement is a measure of sustained displacement of an object from its initial position, i.e. a measure of how far away and for how long. Absement changes as an object remains displaced and stays constant as the object resides at the initial position. It is the first time-integral of the displacement, so the displacement is the rate of change of the absement. The dimension of absement is length multiplied by time. In physics, circular motion is a movement of an object along the circumference of a circle or rotation along a circular path. It can be uniform, with constant angular rate of rotation and constant speed, or non-uniform with a changing rate of rotation. The motion of an object moving in a curved path is called curvilinear motion. Example: A stone thrown into the air at an angle. Curvilinear motion describes the motion of a moving particle that conforms to a known or fixed curve. The study of such motion involves the use of two co-ordinate systems, the first being planar motion and the latter being cylindrical motion.

Displacement (vector)

In geometry, a displacement is a vector whose length is the shortest distance from the initial to the final position of a point P undergoing motion. Idleness is a lack of motion or energy. In describing a person or machine, idle means the act of nothing or no work. This is a person who spends his days doing nothing could be said to be "idly passing his days." A computer processor or communication circuit is described as idle when it is not being used by any program, application or message. Similarly, an engine of an automobile may be described as idle when it is running only to sustain its running, this is also called the tickover.
