Gawirkayeti

Gawirkayeti, is the southernmost part of Mukriyan region of the Iranian Kurdistan, and the West Azarbaijan Province of Iran. The region is inhabited by Gawirk Kurds, and encompasses the area to the west of Bokan, east of Sardasht, south-west of Mahabad and north-west of Saqqez. It corresponds with the ancient land of Gamirk/Gimirri, of the land of Mannea, inhabited by Kimmerians. The name Gawirk seems to be a variation of Gamir-k, since Iranian /-m/ is usually developed into /-w/ in modern Kurdish.

Salavatabad (mountain)

Salavatabad is a mountain range in the west part of Sanandaj city, Kurdistan Province, western Iran. It is one a subrange of Zagros Mountains in the west of Iran.

Zrebar Lake

Gerrus (province)

Gerrus was a small, mountainous province of Iran, situated between Zanjan Province and Azarbaijan region in the north, and Kurdistan Province and Hamadan Province in the south. Its capital was Bijar.
