Dezghan

Dezghan is a city in the southern part of Iran. It is 45 kilometres away from the Persian Gulf and heavily depends on palm growing and other vegetables. Dezghans settlers emigrated from the neighboring cities Bandar Lengeh and Bastak and spoke Persian slang that resembles Arabic. Unlike most Iranians, the Dezgan people are Sunni. This difference caused many of them to migrate across the Persian Gulf to the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain. Many such Dezgani now hold senior positions in the Dubai government; one such example is Qasim Sultan Al Banna, Director General of Dubai Municipality.

Harireh

Harireh is an ancient 8th century city located in what is now Kish, Iran. It is situated in the center of the northern coast of the island. Its area is about 3 square kilometers. Some say Harireh was first built sometime between the late Sasanid period and the early Islamic era. Harireh was quite popular during the Saljuks and Atavakan of Fars. An Iranian cultural heritage organization has verified that Harireh is at least 800 years old.
