Army Body Composition Program

The Army Body Composition Program is a United States Army program that dictates height and weight standards for all Active Army, Army National Guard, and Army Reserve Soldiers; the ABCP is covered in Army Regulation 600-9. The program is designed to enhance and facilitate Soldier "readiness" and maintain optimal well-being and performance under all circumstances by instituting standards and guidelines designed to evaluate a Soldiers height, weight, and ability to pass the Army Physical Fitness Test.

Army Ten-Miler

The Army Ten-Miler is the second largest ten-mile race in the United States. It is held every October in Arlington, Virginia and Washington, DC, sponsored by the U.S. Army Military District of Washington. The annual race weekend events also include a youth run, a youth activity fair, and a pre-race pasta dinner. The race draws a large number of civilian and military running teams. The most recent race was held on Sunday, October 13, 2019.

One Station Unit Training

One Station Unit Training, sometimes referred to as One Site Unit Training, is a term used by the United States Army to refer to a training program in which recruits remain with the same unit for both Basic Combat Training and Advanced Individual Training. Immediately following Basic Training, the unit seamlessly transforms from a BCT unit into an AIT unit. There is no relocation and the same Drill Sergeants who conducted the Basic Training will continue to instruct all of the participating recruits in their Advanced Individual Training.
