ⓘ Fortification Range

The Fortification Range is a mountain range in Lincoln and White Pine counties, Nevada. The range is a narrow linear range trending north-northwest with a length of 34 km and a width of about 8 km. It is typical of the Basin and Range Province.

A series of Wilson Creek and the old BC, Canada–mountain camp Atlanta is to the South-East of the southern end of the range. Spring valley and snake lies to the East and limestone hills to the South-East. In the West there is a lake, the valley and the range of shell Creek. U.S. route 93 traverses the lake valley to the West and crosses the valley of the lake there are meetings at the highest level between fortification and Schell Creek ranges.

Fortification Range was named from saw in it a resemblance to a Fort.
