Bostanabad is a city and capital of Bostanabad County, East Azerbaijan Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 16.592, in 3.937 families.

It is located 55 km 34 miles South-East of Tabriz, the provincial capital. Mohammad Hossein Behjat Tabrizi are widely known as Shahriar is one of the most famous poets of Bostanabad.
