Centre for Computational Geography

The Centre for Computational Geography is an inter-disciplinary research centre based at the University of Leeds. The CCG was founded in 1993 by Stan Openshaw and Phil Rees, and builds on over 40 years experience in spatial analysis and modelling within the School of Geography. CCG research is concerned with the development and application of tools for analysis, visualisation and modelling geographical systems.

Conference of Latin Americanist Geographers

The Conference of Latin Americanist Geographers was formed in 1970 to foster geographic education and research on Latin America. A Board of Directors governs CLAG. CLAG publishes a Newsletter and the Journal of Latin American Geography. It also operates CLAGNET, an electronic Listserv for members. The Syracuse University Archives preserve documents and photographs related to the history of the organization because the long-standing Executive Director, David J. Robinson, is a professor at that university.

Hellenic Military Geographical Service

Established in 1889 as the" Geodetic Mission” with the purpose of compiling the" Topographic and Cadastral Map of the Country”, the service acquired its current name in 1926. Today it supports both the Greek Army and the general public with cartographic products. It was founded in 1994, with the idea coming from the town of Argos in Greece, presented to the European Union.
